The tax role

This is a newly created role within Harsco and this individual will be responsible for directing all tax aspects of the Harsco Divisions within Europe, Asia-Pacifi c and the Middle East of a multinational industrial services company. This geography encompasses operations in over 40 countries throughout the world and generates revenues in excess of $US 2.0 Billion per year. This individual will have three direct reports and a department of four.

You will:

• Work closely with colleagues in the U.S. and Continental Europe to identify and address tax opportunities and exposures
• Provide leadership and co-ordination for major European projects, including cross-border intercompany pricing, thin capitalisation issues and legal entity restructuring.
• Oversees European tax compliance and reporting activities to ensure obligations are being met.
• Provides advice and support to tax planning for and implementation of acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures.
• Manages UK and other European tax audits, utilising local tax advisors as appropriate.
