The company

Following a period of sustained growth this market leading engineering company has created a new high profile position with its Group Tax Team. With a rich history, this global organisation currently employs over 4000 people in 50 countries.

Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, you will be based in the global Head Quarters in the UK. Principally, you will take command of international tax planning and oversee the tax reporting and compliance team.

The senior tax manager role

In conjunction with the Head of Tax to identify, initiate and ensure timely and successful completion of tax planning projects around the group which will lower the group’s tax cash outflow.
To review commercial projects within the group, to provide timely tax input and to ensure tax efficiency is taken into account in project structuring.
To manage a small team of Tax Accountants.
Management of tax projects including; funding strategy, cash pooling arrangements, intercompany unwinding and entity rationalisation
Provision of tax advice to local finance with regard to bids and tenders, planning for operations, exit strategies and contract review
Providing reports to shareholders on tax projects.
Ad-hoc tax planning initiatives to reduce cash tax in key jurisdictions, South America & Europe
Advise on M&A and disposals and tax efficient internal reorganisations
Implementation of TP documentation and intra group policies
Review of group's IP policy
Oversight of the Group's consolidated tax information and quarterly reporting under IFRS.
Managing the compliance team responsible for the year end consolidated tax charge and individual entity tax charges for the UK based companies in the group
Supervision of the outsourced tax compliance of overseas holding companies
