The Group Tax function in this truly global company is located across 4 territories – London, Dublin, Amsterdam and Norwalk. Group Tax comprises approx. 50 individuals.
The International Transactions and Support Team is responsible for Transfer Pricing, Business Risk, Business Development and Business Support (for the RoW).
The company has clearly defined Transfer Pricing Policies that generate significant value for the group. Ensuring that these policies are effectively implemented and documented secures that value and mitigates the risk of successful tax authority challenge.
The transfer pricing manager job
The scope of this role is to drive successful implementation of policy and management of Transfer Pricing risk in all RoW markets.
Dimensions of the role
a) Financial
- The function is responsible for the following financial measures:
- P&L
- Balance sheet
- Corporate tax cash flow
b) Market Complexity
- Work with multiple functions in the business globally but primarily within RoW markets (Europe, Africa, Latam and Asia Pac)
c) Leadership responsibilities
- Management of senior stakeholders within the business
- Management of Transfer Pricing execution and risk management in RoW territories
- Management of professional advisors
- Leadership and development of ITST resource
Purpose of Role
To effectively implement Group Transfer Pricing Policy in market and to manage Transfer Pricing risk in RoW
Top 3-5 accountabilities
- To ensure Transfer Pricing policies are effectively implemented.
- To ensure the company has robust and complete Transfer Pricing documentation in place.
- To provide guidance and decision support to the business on Transfer Pricing issues.
- To mitigate Transfer Pricing risk in RoW markets.
- To provide Transfer Pricing technical leadership with regard to in market tax audits.
About you
- Degree Level, ACA/ CTA, + 6 years PQE
- Detailed understanding of key areas of tax legislation, in particular transfer pricing,
- Experience of transfer pricing audits,
- Broad understanding of key international tax issues and an excellent understanding of OECD pricing guidelines
- Application of tax knowledge to commercial agenda,
- Sound judgement regarding acceptable levels of tax risk,
- Effective project management and implementation skills,
- Strong team working and communication skills
- Demonstrate commitment to develop and coach others,
- Generate and sustains great working relationships and networks across the organisation,
- Combine commercial instinct with analytical rigour
